This post is based in our Chelmsford branch situated in Broomfield.

The hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £8.00 Per Hour

This position is primarily to provide administrative support to the coordinating team consisting of a senior coordinator, review officer, quality & monitoring officer and manager. A key function of this role is the management of communications between Forest Homecare and the Essex County Council Service Placement Team (SPT). All new care packages commissioned and changes to existing packages are dealt with by SPT and the Support Administrator, in close liaison with the coordinator and office manager. Most communications are via email within agreed time frames.

Although core activities are the same for all Support Administrator posts throughout the company, there are some local/team variations and the post holder must have a flexible approach and undertake other duties as prescribed by the local office manager – for this role in West Essex the post holder will, as required by the manager, deputise for the coordinator and following training complete assessments or reviews if required. It is essential that the post holder has excellent computer skills and approaches their work in an organised manner, able to manage communications with SPT according to the required time frames. Being part of a small team, flexibility and team spirit is essential.

Person specification :
You will have excellent IT skills, proficient in Outlook Email, Word and Excel. You will have the ability, with appropriate training, to understand and operate our coordinating software system

You will have excellent organisational skills and effectively manage priorities, working well under pressure

You will have excellent oral communication and written skills

You will be able to deal sensitively and effectively with calls from service users or their representatives, health and social care professionals and other organisations and forward sometimes complex/urgent messages

You will understand the importance and benefits of teamwork and be flexible in your approach
